Quarantine Clearance
AQIS (Australian Quarantine Inspection Services) has some of the most stringent measures in the world and operates a zero tolerance policy towards the importation of contaminated machinery.
The importation of used machinery and equipment is classified as a high risk threat, as equipment can be contaminated with exotic pests and diseases that can be harmful to the Australian environment and its agricultural industries.
Any second hand machinery or parts imported into Australia must be 'clean', 'as new' and are subject to full Inspection upon arrival into Australia.
We highly suggest that all used machinery is dismantled, cleaned and inspected by quarantine prior to shipping, to avoid the risk of equipment being rejected and ordered for re-export, which can be very costly.
